TGIF… just got an email telling me I could “Lose 5 Pounds with a 5 Day Cleanse.” Who sends a weight loss doctor, advertisements for weight loss? Insert head into hands.

My advice? Please don’t do this.

Maybe you can lose 5 pounds in five days, but I guarantee that it will not be fat loss. Once you go back to eating like a human on day 6 the weight will come right back. So please, if you or a friend get these e-mails, don’t take the bait. Rather, invest in a sustainable weight loss plan that’s geared toward long term success.
