Patient Story

I saw a patient yesterday who started with us last June at 172 pounds. By February (8 months/32 weeks), she was below 130 (42+ pounds) and has steadily continued to drop. Yesterday she was 124 and for the past 3 months has been below 125, which is her goal. Since then we have been increasing her food intake and she is now between 2400 and 2500 calories per day, and I believe we can increase even more. We never had to bring her food below 1800 calories and she continues to eat what she enjoys.

Her LDL cholesterol dropped 86 points and her body fat is 14.5%. She looks great, and more importantly, she is happy and is enjoying a healthy relationship with food.

She started strength training with Emily last month and we are seeing changes already. I can't wait to see what happens in the next few months![I picked the chicken for the picture because she loves rotisserie chicken and can put down a whole bird in a sitting.]
