Josh Basak

Personal Trainer

Josh Basak earned his undergraduate degree in Exercise Science: Applied Kinesiology from Rutgers University and recently finished his Masters of Medical Science (MMS) from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. He has worked extensively as an Exercise Physiologist helping oncology patients to regain strength and range of motion, as well as geriatric patients with orthopedic and neurological conditions to overcome their disease. As rewarding as these prior experiences were for him, his favorite was when he spent a summer in Africa as a Sports Medicine intern training athletes for the professional soccer club Cape Town Spurs FC.

Josh has witnessed firsthand how exercise and aging are correlated. He believes we have entered a new age of taking control of your life, physically and mentally, to preserve health and increase longevity. He has always considered exercise as a form of medicine. With his knowledge and commitment to the field of health and fitness, he will help you develop a positive mindset about exercise to become the best version of yourself and crush your goals.

Josh lives his life by celebrating the small wins by focusing on improving just 1% each day because it will lead to big changes over time. This is the mentality he desires to instill in his clients. He proved that the small changes lead to big accomplishments recently when he trained for and successfully ran in his first Philadelphia Marathon!

Outside of work, Josh loves playing sports with his niece and nephews, hanging out with his energetic Australian cattle dog, Maisie. He also enjoys traveling to new places and hopes to eventually make it to all 7 continents!

A common question he often comes back to for himself and his clients— how might you show up differently if you knew the consequences right away?
